FLL Relaunch Program
A LEGO League team in every school
Our goal is at least one FIRST LEGO League team in every Southington elementary school. The pandemic set that back by years and some schools never restarted. This program is how we help them.
Why we run it
A school that has lost its team rarely lost it for one reason. The coach moved on, the kit went missing, the fees never made it into a budget, and nobody left remembers how registration works. Any one of those is enough to stop a restart on its own, and together they make the whole thing look impossible from the outside.
Many of the students on the CyberKnights did LEGO League themselves as children. We know first hand what those programs are worth, and how much it matters to put STEM in front of kids early. So the Relaunch Program takes on the things that stop a school from starting.
What you get
- Registration fees covered. The single biggest barrier, removed
- One or two high school student coaches from Team 195, in the room with your students
- Online training and support for the teacher or parent who signs up to coach
No robotics experience needed. A positive attitude and a commitment to weekly sessions are all it takes. We teach the rest.
